Mathew J

I began taking pictures in the 1990's and quickly fell in love with capturing moments that were rapidly changing around me. I decided to deepen my understanding of photography by studying the art form along with a mentorship with a Polish artist named Janina Musialczyk.

After graduating from WMU in 2002 I began teaching Science in local schools as well as taking photos for students, families and couples. When not taking photos I love to hang out with my family. My wife and I have two kids in the Portage school system and a dog that loves to run around the house chasing all of us.

I love living in Portage and enjoy serving the community which has given me so much. I also really enjoy getting to know so many of the wonderful people of this great community while giving them photos of precious moments in their lives. I look forward to working with you to create the photos that you deserve.
